How to flash or upgrade the Silicon Graphics SGI O2 Prom

It took me a while to figure this out. Like it’s some kind of secret. After installing the best OS and all the patches you have, run the command:

/sbin/flashinst -T -y /usr/cpu/firmware/ip32prom.image

Running that command after installing 6.5.30 with all the patches resulted in the following hinv (note 4.18 is the last version):

with no AV Card or Camera.
